The
University Graduates of Nursing Science Association (UGONSA) also known as
Graduate Nurses Association of Nigeria (GNAN), a professional association of
Nigerian nurses with a minimum qualification of first degree in Nursing science
heartily invites all Nigerian Nurses, Nursing Students (NUNSA and NANNSM) and
the general public to its upcoming National Professional Conference and
Scientific Updates – Ibadan 2017, tagged “Nursing
Reformation Summit”.
Date:
25th to 29th September, 2017. Arrival shall be on Monday
25th September while departure shall be on Friday 29th
September, 2017. The event shall commence daily by 9:00am prompt.
Venue:
Nurse Tutor Auditorium, FFS, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan Oyo
State.
CEU: The
program attracts two (2) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for licence renewal
by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Registration: Registration
fee for the event is N10, 000 (ten thousand naira) for Graduates and N5000
(five thousand naira) for undergraduates. This covers conference T-shirt, bag,
materials and meals (breakfast and lunch) only. The fee can be paid in advance
into UGONSA account (Account Name: University Graduates of Nursing Science
Association, Account number: 3089525712, Bank: FirstBank) or at the event venue
on arrival.
NOTE: Only
those that registered as graduates shall receive Certificates bearing the 2
CEUs for licence renewal. Students do not renew licence and thus, the
certificate for their category bears no CEU for licence renewal by the NMCN.
Benefit of Advance
Registration: Advance payment is beneficial as it
enables participants to benefit from arrangements made by the association for
decent and affordable accommodation in Ibadan with prices ranging between N2000
(two thousand naira) and N7000 (seven thousand naira) per night.
The Conference: The
professional conference and scientific update is a classic event where
scholars, researchers and administrators in the nursing profession gather to
exhibit and review scientific works and underlying theories of nursing practice
for the purpose of improving on medico-nursing knowledge for enhanced qualitative
client care.
